Battery help

Postby HeadShot » Mon Jul 28, 2014 6:58 pm

Hmmm, looks like I haven't used my small batteries for my AGM MP40 for so long that they're dead. I charged them all over the last few days but the aren't working. Might be the gun I spose, but if someone has a spare I could borrow please, that would be great.

Either that or the gun might need looking at.

NiCDs or NiMH, though do degrade with lack of use, only do so over time periods ~20years! If you've not used them for a year, maybe two, then they should all still be very good - or maybe your charger is duff?

Ta. I think the charger's ok. I'm charging a large battery now. I suspect it might be a gun problem. Fuse or loose wire.

I can lend an MP40 if you need one for the day?

If you find that it is your batteries that are not taking the charge there was a little trick told to me by an old school electrician I did my apprenticeship with. Put them in the freezer overnight then let them thaw and then try to charge again, used to work on the battery drill batteries I have had over the years, so mix of temp, chemical reactions, and pixie magic but it did work.
