I can only agree with everyone else, had a great day and it was over far too soon. Some great combat, some of the best I've had during an airsoft event for some time, excellent sportsmanship from all sides. As usual the Combat South site did not disappoint!

Big thanks to all involved, organisers, CS staff and players alike for making it such a great day.

Hope to see you all soon for the next one!

Most annoying. I'd discounted attending ages ago due to time & money which has been a recurring theme since moving house. By the time I realised we've definitely turned the corner on that score at last, all the Allied places were gone. C'est la vie.
Really pleased the event went well.

Fantastic game, huge thanks to all involved :D . Special mention to Evelyn the owen gun for cutting me down at ridiculous range and putting my Kar98 to shame! :good:
Wake up there, Muttley, you're dreaming again!

It would seem that the defenders were so fixated on looking out for Americans that I was able to just walk in. Finally after months of having it, I got a kill with the P08 bayonet. Quickly followed by 2 more. Apparently they didn't like it up 'em :giggle:

Huzzah! :good:

Thanks for a great day, everyone :) It would seem that I should join the medical corps, given how many of my team I patched up during the day :P

Well thank you to the organizers & all the players allied & germans
I can't fault the day as it played the only let down was half the airborne giving up &going home only becouse thay were a bunch of re-enacters & not full on airsofters & hadn't got the full context of the game & how to play.
As for the attack on the fort this part I have played before & we did do well to complete the objective as most times the attacking teams run out of time & don't complete it.
So hats off to the allieds for doing it & hats off to the enemy for putting up a good fight & slowing us down.
I started off with a very big box of pyro for all of my squad to use this included smoke, thunderflashes, pea grenades & mortar rounds & at the end was left with just some odd bits & a headache from firing the bloody mortar rounds from bakers bridge but this didn't put any dampers on the end result.
Note to all every mortar round I fired worked so it wasn't the rounds at fault it must have been the mortars or the users.
The only bad thing was when I got home my wife wanted to know how the bloodyhow could I manage to eat 40 chocolate bars in one day.
She want believe I gave them to my teammates & then walked to the german lines to give the rest out so now im the worlds greediest lier.
My finnal thoughts of the day were great day, good fun, plenty of pyro & when's the next one Doc & Steve.
One more thing my apologies to my teammates as to not being a very good CO (by not taking control of things at any point from start to finnish)so won't be volunteering to soon again.
SORRY

Great Day :happyclap:

Thanks to Gareth for COing the Brits and Jay for lending me a gun.

I will upload my video and photos this week when I get a chance.

Highlight of the day was watching Josh (Gunman) taking a 500FPS sniper shot to the top of his boot at point blank range by mistake and playing a great roll play death....

"Ahhh...... My tootsies ist broken!!!!" and then dieing exectution style as the grenade finished him and ............... I filmed it.....!!!! So funny. Brilliant. Watch this space!

I saw the whole thing with josh from the other side, it was hilarious, deffo an Oscar nomination on the cards there :good:

Looking forward to seeing the vid and pics.

One of my highlights was the 'Bloody SS' comment from one of the brits, after I did something typically suicidal during our defence at the fort.

Certainly looking forward to the next one!

I took my camra but got so engrossed in the game that I forgot to take some photos.
I'v been involved in this hobby for about two years but haven't any evidence of it as I seem to be missing in most action photos.
I am hopping that someone on the yankee's side has taken some & maybe i'll be in one. :good:
It could be that I move to fast for the camra or is it becouse i'm always hiding so I don't get shot!! :ghey:
So to all the yankees any of you take any photos of the day?
Cheers
Peter.

So I finally edited the 3 hours of video I had down to 10 minutes... It only covers the first half of the game because I thought I'd filled the memory card (turns out there was enough room for the afternoon too which is a bummer).

Anyhoo its the shortened video has been uploaded to youtube, check it out...

Ha ha, Yes sorry about that Gareth! It should have been "Im not coming to you, Sir"......

Steve, That is a great video. Love every moment of it. It is an advert for WW2 Airsoft and how adreneline pumped it is. 5 Star.

I will get my video and pics up by the end of the week!
