I was thinking more like this?
I have a penchant for a sailors hat as I used to have to wear one

Out of interest, why did they wear British BD?

From what I've found, there were no real working fatigues issued and so many sets of British Denims were captured with the fall of France they were issued in lieu.
There's seemingly little uniformity between UBoat crew clothing.

Also, if anyone has a size 53 head check this:

Just change the badges and tally

As stated Germans captured loads of kit at Dunkirk which they put to good use.

I can lend out my denim BD jacket if any wants to use one. I'm still not here if I'll be wearing my woolen BD jacket, of I'm not then I'll lend that out too

Ralph

I've bought 2 of these side caps http://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/m1939-bord ... duct,10190 as I didn't know which size would fit best, so I now have a size 58 spare, if anyone want's to buy this off me and save postage and pick it up at the game, PM me, before I send it back.

Cheers
Russell
