After action Report and Pictures

Postby Hänschen klein » Sun Nov 18, 2018 4:11 pm

OK finally unpacked the car and aches and pains are easing.

Great game from our part the organisers. Everyone bought into the style of game fast action, sneaking around and role play stab thrust cut with various Larp weapons. I heard some good stories of larp kills some Hmm my Sven axing 3 of his own in the dark
Kit game and attitude fantastic as always and it was great that there were a couple of newbies to the forum who I think enjoyed their day. One of them seasoned airsofter said it was the best event he has ever been to .
OK Ruskies managed to get their missions done and managed to get 5 of the 6 German explosives But apparently on the last mission to capture the Ark of the Covenant they had a pact with the Brits but apparently were double crossed by the pluck Brits who after some serious action made off with it. :D

OK will leave this now for you guys to put your war stories up and some pictures

I must say for my part commanding the commandos was made a pleasure by the great team I had. Everyone took to their tasks and worked well with each other, coming up with suggestions when necessary , generally working really well as a team.
Favorite part for me was the Radio room mission, setting an ambush for the Germans coming up the corridor towards us and waiting til the last minute to unleash plastic death on them. Definite highlight of the day for me.
Thanks to UCAP for the use of the site and thanks very much to Gordon and Graham for coming up with such a cunning plan.

A great day out in the tunnels; thanks to everyone who came and experienced an intense, suspense filled day of airsoft. Big thanks to Graeme and Gordon for drawing up the days master plan, and to the brave Soviet squad who all pulled together to take on all-comers.

Now, some pics:

Many thanks to the organisers for putting the game on. The structure of the missions around the use of the site worked really, really well. Some really tense moments, lots of creeping around, and some very nasty surprises!

Many thanks to my Russian comrades, we may not have captured the Ark of the Covenant, but as Marx said, religion is the opium of the people, and forward thinking and clear headed socialists don't need any of that! The gold and heavy water will be far more useful for spreading the fraternal benefits of socialism through an accelerated nuclear weapons programme. I also enjoyed the singing and dancing

Well done to the organisers for arranging genuine water toe be dripping out of the ceiling, very realistic. I was also very glad of my helmet as I managed to bang it on various metal objects at least three times, one of which left a big dent in my (real) helmet. I loved trying to pull the bank job, really funny, but the most hilarious was running back to base pushing that barrel of heavy water with BBs dropping the rest of the squad left, right and centre. Most terrifying moment was being pressed up against the wall as an entire German squad marched right past.

Great stuff. Urrah!

I can only echo the things said. Well done especially to Gordon and Graeme.

The day was filled with close encounters, luck or the opposite. Here are a couple of stories:
In the beginning we (Russians) wanted to move fast without being seen and fight. We got stuck in a tunnel due to a German patrol passing every couple of minutes making it impossible to move. Finally we made the decision to take it out. Four volunteers ready with knives and shovels hidden to take out the four Germans. Then...... nothing happened. The Germans had changed their patrol route.
Another time I thought I just bayonetted a German sneaking around the corner. I turn around and get knived. We were all Russians.
In one attack we try to take out some Germans. I storm forward but get shot. I see someone standing pressed against the tunnel wall. Three more of us storm in. One gets shoot, one returns fire, another medics me. A guys starts walking around asking, if we are Russians. We say yes and he says. Well then you are dead now. The German killed 3-4 of us. You could not tell who was who.
This will only happen in the tunnels.

What an excellent day.

Many thanks, especially to Graeme and Gordon, but also my squad leader Jimbo and the rest of the plucky Commandos.

Great fun as always.

Cheers
