The Conclusion

Postby cjw957 » Mon Jan 21, 2019 12:35 pm

ok after been asked many times (Gits)

The Winner was ...

The Germans, it was as always a pretty tight affair and only 2-3 missions separated the final result

German Forces
Special credit to squad 3 who managed to do well even though 25% under strength

The Highest scoring squad strangely was mine, which I think was mainly due to lack of contact with hardly seeing any Americans all day

Allied Forces

Credit to the Brits for some great mission comments (see I do read these lol) and it's not a complicated map ...

I felt like I should have punished Squad 1, with some of there comments ...

6/10 for the supply box you cheeky

and you try typing 80+ missions and seeing if you miss a comma or two :giggle:

So the might of the German Army held out for the day, but with a break in the weather the following couple of days the allies were able to reinforce their position with numbers and supplies, and no sign of the German reinforcements, they were forces to withdraw to Cassino, the Allies took the high ground and seem ready to Strike at Cassino and break through for Rome.

Though the time bought by German forces today has given valuable extra time to reinforce and dig in, this won't be an easy fight with German orders not to give an inch of ground, and with German SS and Gebirgsjäger Reinforcements due to arrive, the allies may regret trying to take Monte Cassino...

The Kendall Mint Cake was like crack. I’m still having withdrawal symptoms.
