They weren't produced in different sizes. WWII kit in general is rough n ready - there was a war on! :wink:

Yes, you could do that. If your current helmet fits, there's no point in changing it.

What about a field made inner tube helmet band to take up the slack? You could even hide a fold in the material under the band.
