Cider - Who wants to chip in for the barrel....

Postby Rhysd2 » Thu Aug 28, 2008 9:02 am

OK finally got around to contacting my local brewery. its a 5 gallon barrel which is approx 40 pints. The cost of the ciders £27.25 with a extra £14 depoist for the barrel. I'll take care of the deposit as its me who has to claim it back anyway(though obviously if you break the barrel you will be covering the deposit :P ).

Seeing as we're there for 2 nights I think 5 people is a good figure to share this as that will give us 8 pints each over the 2 nights. That makes it a princely sum of £5.45 a head. Myself and Craig will obviously be having this which gives us 3 spaces left. If you want in on this please let me know by friday lunch time at the Latest as once I get home from work we'll be leaving to get the barrel and drive up.

If there are enough people who want this I maybe able to persuade Craig to put a 2nd barrel in the car. So even if the other 3 spaces are filled please post and I'll get a 2nd one for you to share.

So to sum up: approx 8 pints each for £5.45 cost.

By that you mean when you've drunk enough, ugly women look prettier?

I'll pass thanks Rhys, I still can't drink the stuff since bocking up 2 litres of Strongbow Super when I was 16.

CIDER........ uurrrgggh no

the first and last time i ever drank cider, was 7 years ago .
I "sucsessfully pulled" a 49 year old lady :slap: (who i also worked with)

she spiked my drink i think.

thank god a workmate saw me and dragged me out of the "taxi home" right at the last minuite

a closer call ive never had

So NO , no cider for me thanks

Only just seen this Rhys - if there's any space left we'll share an 8 pint slot between us please.

If you're all sold out I guess we'll have to fall back on Plan B - Lambrini.
