Hopefully, after this week, the sky will have no more rain left in it!

Would someone be able to lend me a suitable tunic and some headgear (hat or helmet-don't mind)for this? I have both on order but I doubt they will get here in time. Well I know the tunic won't as its from Pirschen. The hat is the more important as I should have a smock by then so I could get away with wearing one of my other tunics underneath. Im a 42 chest and 58 head btw.

I've got quite a bit of spare headgear, all a bit bigger than 58 mind, mine are 59/60 but you're welcome to use one of my spare caps (or even my helmet). I've also got either an M36 tunic (badged as a Heer Major), or a pea dot tunic you can borrow.

BTW - I've edited the first post again, just for clarity. Everyone please read it and make sure that you're up to speed with it all.

Cheers Pete. I don't mind if a hats too big, its being to small thats more of a problem. Tunic wise I think if my smock turns up in time I will actually wear one of my own tunics , if not could I borrow the pea dot one of yours? I will let you what I'm doing by Friday either way.

I hope so mate. I had a physio session today as well and it was bloody painful! I got twisted up something rotten and also had a bit of acupuncture. It's worked well though, I feel a lot better.

I too have been laid low with back problems in the past - so I take it easy now. Whilst my job involves sitting down all day, I just take a break every so often and go for a 5-minute walk - it helps.

John M wrote:I don't get on here as often as some of you but from a quick scan of this thread I think we'd better re-role as a Waffen SS field hospital or veterans retirement home rather than a Kampfgruppe!

Hee hee - either that or set all our scenarios in Germany, 1945 and the Fall of Berlin - that way we could have the motley crew of battle hardened SS, old fellas with walking sticks and fresh faced, idealistic young boys all fighting side by side and it not look out of place - :good:

BTW - can anyone supply me with the postcode for the Redditch site, or the contact details of 'a man who can'?

:D
