i think what is to be avoided is a repeat of an incident a little while ago where somebody pulled out the bayonet of an opposing player expecting to use it for a knife kill ,he was expecting a rubber knife and it was real ......... if you have a pocket knife(folding Swiss army type knife) it's unlikely that anybody could or would pick you'r pocket in the hope of finding a rubber knife for a knife kill , i know i carry a Swiss army knife (i was in the scout's and feel odd without it) all the time but i'd hardly attempt to attach it to my rifle as a bayonet but someone might be tempted to fit a real bayonet for effect and with no intention of using it but that would be a huge health and safety issue ,it might be a nice item to own but i think there's no need to carry one on the field even if it's in its scabbard , Shoot N Scoot do a great range of rubber bayonet's that are very good quality ,perfect for LARP or as a scabbard filler .
