I tried it on once while at The Victory Show. I was choosing between their cheap M41 field jacket and the Jeep. I opted for the M41 merely because it was more common, sir.

As for the coat itself, it's a nice garment, smart, lining seemed nice and substantial, however due to how it seems to be an uncommon item somewhat, I'd like to ask if you're wanting it simply because it is... I don't know... A very wonderful coat, or if you're an officer now, sir?

Wasn't just officers who wore the Mackinaw! Many other ranks tended to use what they could get a hold of when they really needed it.

As for the SoF one...not really worth the money when one compares it to an original. Wouldn't stand up to a pea being thrown at it!

Best of luck that you do not get shafted with 20% VAT on it when it arrives in the UK, I've purchased a Sten from Evike which got pulled up and taxed, so that was an extra £40 added to the price tag... Yet it's still cheaper than buying it in the UK... And that's WITH 4 spare magazines, sir.
