Low Boots

Postby breadfish » Sat Jul 29, 2017 10:41 am

I just had a quick scan of the forum to see if i oculd answer my question but to no avail.

Ive been looking for some time to buy a nice pair of low boots for my Heer impression. There are many copies, all vary in price. I've recently discovered the Richard Underwood ones that look very nice. But before i go spending, are there any reputable retailers of said boot i should check out first? And more importantly any I should avoid?

many thanks
Rich

The best quality low boot for a decent price is from Nestof in Poland. I have seen the quality first hand and they hold up extremely well and the shipping came in under a week for my friend. If you have money and time then I would suggest Lerderarsenal or is known as Berger, these are the best boot on the market but comes at a high price and a long time as they are handmade. Both boots are in the M37 style.

Hope this helps!

If you want something a bit more cheap and cheerful, I got some of the all rough out boots from militaria. net a few years ago and they've been surprisingly good. As tough as old boots (see what I did there :)) and haven't lost a single hobnail.

I did have to put on many, many coats of dubbin and soak the laces in neatsfoot oil.
