Redfire/PPS/King Arms Mosin Nagant Downgrade

Postby EvilMonkee » Sun Jul 01, 2018 6:29 pm

Ok, so I have now got my boneyard Mosin (£70 from Evike plus tax) up and running again. Suffice to say its blooming HOT, hitting 470ish on .2s. Has anyone got any tips for downgrading this bugger?

1) Try less powerful gas, like Marui's HFC134A
2) Remove the bolt and change main (hammer) spring. To power up, cut a piece from AEG spring. To power down, find a softer spring in a scrapyard or make existing one a bit shorter.
3) A hard way to downgrade is a custom small-bore nozzle, but I wonder if it worth doing.
With best regards,

Definitely going to try a different gas.

I think a custom nozzle would be the best if most complicated option. I have a spare nozzle (if I can get it apart) to fiddle with.

Re spring - you mean the main spring that is used to cock the weapon?
