37 pattern denims

Postby Kev55 » Sun Feb 16, 2020 11:27 am

Hi guy's. I noticed on Canadian Soldier site a reference article about Canadian and British uniforms, and in it. it states that the original British denims followed the same style as the 37 Battle Blouse, ( covered buttons etc.), and the ubiquitous austerity style brought in with the later 40 pattern blouse, would this mean that I could use the post ww2 Greek denim combat jacket as British early ww2 denims ??

As far as I know, no, 37 pattern denims had exposed buttons. SOF have started making really nice repro recently from actual denim rather than twill.
