I am interested but have a question that might help persuade other potential buyers too so I will post it here.
What is heavyweight about them? Specifically - is the receiver and slide made of metal?
I ask because I've only ever known Maruzen p38s to have plastic slides.

the marks on the left side of the slide look like scuffs on ABS plastic
