TOP MP40 with PGC gearbox – SOLD

Now I’ve given up WW2 Airsoft it’s time to let my PGC gearbox’d TOP MP40 got to a new home. The blued steel receiver and excellent quality brown fake bakelite side and grip panels means that it not only looks better than the AGM or SRC MP40’s, but with the PGC gearbox it performs better than them as well (and I’ve had plenty of opportunity to compare all three designs side-by-side in the past few years)

Internally, it has been fitted with a PGC gearbox conversion, comprising the following parts:

PGC 8mm bearing gearbox
Systema motor
Prometheus gears
Prometheus piston
Prometheus piston head
PGC cylinder head and air nozzle
PGC metal spring guide with
Madbull tightbore barrel
FireFly Hop-up rubber

There are a number of magazines with it as well:

4 x Custom built Hicaps (Top MP40 Hicap shells with TM Uzi Hicap inners)
6 x Standard magazines
3 x Spare magazine shells
3 x Spare standard magazine inner cassettes

Condition is very good used condition, with wear at the usual highpoints. All this has been done through carry and use. No monkeying around with wire wool and sandpaper (which lets be honest, looks fake most of the time). At this present time, it’s wired (via a small slot) for use with an external battery. If the user is willing to swap to LiPo packs then a battery pack can be fitted behind the gearbox. As the Hop-up unit is secured to the front of the gearbox with a screw (removing that annoying play you get between the upper and lower receivers on an MP40) it has to be removed before splitting the gun to fit the battery pack (if the buyer wants to use internal LiPo packs I will solder a Deans connector on instead of the large connector that’s currently on there)

Performance wise, it’s firing at 305.3fps (tested 27/06/12) on the standard spring. Given the specification of the gearbox, it’ll accept a more powerful spring with no problems.

Price is £350 + postage for the gun and all the magazines – given that it cost over £1000 to build, that’s a hell of a bargain. Payment by Bank Transfer (prefered) or PayPal. No swaps. No splits at the present time. Usual VCRA stuff applies – and the defence will be checked with your site or re-enactment group!
