Up for sale is my Ultima MG42. A collaboration between Shoei (providing the body) and Echigoya (who made the massively over-engineered gearbox) this is one seriously rare beast, costing me over £1200 for the gun, and over £420 on top of that for shipping, tax and duty. These are now – and have been for 5 years – unobtainable.

Stock, these came fitted with Tokyo Marui AUG internals. Since receipt, most of the internal parts have been replaced (hell, when you’ve already blown over £1600, what’s another couple of hundred? ). These parts include:

Prometheus gears
Prometheus metal bushings
Systema Turbo motor
Madbull 650mm tightbore inner barrel
G&P AUG Hop-up unit
Guarder Hop-up rubber set
PDI Spring (currently chronoing at 322FPS, it’s a quick change design so you can put whatever spring you want to into it)

At the moment, it’s running on a modified TM piston (2nd and 3rd tooth mods with an ally bearing piston head) On top of this, some custom work was carried out. As standard it used a derivative of the old TOP M60 loading system (i.e. a cog) to feed from an internal reservoir. Needless to say, when run at anything remotely approaching the ROF of a real MG42 (1200RPM), it couldn’t keep up. To this end, the whole system was removed and replaced with a feed tube that runs from a custom machined nozzle on a real-deal MG42 feed tray into the gearbox. A custom electric magazine made from a real drum magazine was built that simply clips into place on the feed tray. It’s run perfectly since modifications, but as expected with a gun that’s been used there are a few scratches on it. Gearbox will be serviced before shipping (it’s had about 25K through it since last serviced).

In addition to the gun and magazine, it will also be supplied with the following spare parts:

MG3 feed tray and drum mag (if you fancy converting it to a MG3 – mag internals are up to you!)
MG3 Flash Hider
Replacement top cover with 20mm rail attached
Repro WW2 leather sling

Finally, there is the post-war MG3 tripod (looks similar to WW2 one) This thing is an absolute beast, and comes complete with Hensoldt periscope optics and lighting kit. All in excellent condition, and weighs a bloody ton. This item cost me an additional £150 + shipping from Germany.

The total package is £850 for the gun and the tripod. It would be best due to size & weight if it is collected, but if required it can be shipped at additional cost. Payment by cash on collection, or if shipped then cheque or bank transfer (cheques will have to clear first). If you’re serious about this gun then PM me with your email address and I’ll email you some hi-res pics. If you are interested in purchasing the gun or tripod separately, then the cost will be £800 for the MG42 and spare parts and £100 for the tripod. Shipping is extra on both.

Nothing wrong with this type of sale as long as they go to a good home :good:
Obviously talking about MG&stand not first born children which I am sure would be against forum rules :giggle:

Sold. Apologies for not responding to PM’s about it. I turned my pop-up blocker on, so didn’t notice when I had new PM’s
