I think if you're "wounded" or "dead" you can be captured.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Yes, that's my take on it.

Basically if the Germans have the opportunity to relieve you of any intel, whether captured or dead, they will take it.

I don't want to see anyone attempting to kill their colleagues in an attempt to get around the capture rules. You wouldn't have killed your comrades 70 years ago, so we won't do it now.

However, Stu is quite right about one thing. If you get captured, don't expect anyone to mount a rescue attempt! Just get the fuck out of dodge and get to our pre-determined RV.

if someone in my squad is wounded and i cant get to them to medic them and i see gerry getting close can i then off said member of my squad or do they have to be medic'd first for the second kill to count????

if i cant do that and any of my squad gets wounded and i cant get to ya , sorry but you're on your own LOL!!!
mind ya , i expect the same for me....i'd rather die than fall in the hands of chommers and his massage fantasy!

was meant as a joke hence the massage fantasy thing lol ...but yes i will be leaving you to your own devices if you get captured , 2 men would be foolish to try to save you so DONT get captured!
i hope to totally avoid contact for the first day if possibe, testing myself and my ability to blend into the trees and move silently. Myself and Pete have done it before and its actually far more exciting than firing loads of rounds..to know you got close enough to observe , listen and note enemy's movements and they had No idea you were even there is totally amazing.
Only fire if you absolutley have no option...that means if you can't crawl or run away.

Please guys, no wrestling with guards or anything. We have careful plans for prisoners, with due consideration for h&s. If you are careless enough to be captured, man up and take it! You will be uncomfortable for a period of time but, that's it! You will almost certainly NOT get any chance whatsoever to attempt escape.

Stu is absolutely spot on here. If you have to shoot your way into a recce, you're doing it completely wrong! Firefights will only draw attention to you, leading to capture and failure of your tasks and, probably, our overall mission. Far more satisfying to be so close that you can smell the sausage when the enemy have no idea you were there. "Leave no trace" is something you should all burn into your brains!

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

I know a lot of planning has gone in to this event and a lot of people are looking forward to it and getting excited and perhaps a little bit worried over issues like kit, getting captured and radio's.
All i can say is if you listen to your squad leaders and read ALL of the information provided by organisers, that goes for maps, plans , rules , kit etc you WILL be fine.
Its gonna be a corker if EVERYONE sticks to the plan, if they dont then it could go tits up really fast.
Its probably not my place to say any of this but i know a lot of effort has gone into this game and I really want it to be a success for everyone involved. Like Pete has been saying "Try to think like a soldier"..its only for 24hrs!

Again "stay on task , do your job, listen to orders and you will go home to your families"..... its not so hard people, lets have a good game :)

I think anyone who comes to this not thinking as a solider is going to have a tough time!

As soon as I'm back from watching Twilight on Friday night with Carly I will be in the zone :)

I'm in the RAF and am an Ex- Soldier, just flip the switch and I'm back in that mind set.

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

I'm mostly dressed like a civy, would I be able to evade capture by pretending to be a local french civilian?

Passable as long as non of the Germans actually speak french. Alternatively I could dress like a German and hope they don't recognise me.
