1. Establish defended strong point east of the River Ourthe - this is the forward position and likely to be at the forefront of enemy advance
2. Reconnoitre land between this position at the bridge at Huy on the River Meuse
3. Defend the bridge at Huy
As the we have a trained mortar team (but no mortar as planned supplies have been delayed by two days) it would be more expedient to make use of German captured or abandoned equipment.
We also need to make good use of our explosive expertise - it's known that Germans are looking for fuel, booby trapping will be a way of defending dumps without personnel.
IMPERATIVE
At all times Field Marshall Montgomery and Major Badham must be kept fully informed at all times of friendly and enemy troop movements. Information must flow up and down the chain of command if we are to have any hope of making sure troops are in the right place to stop enemy aggression. Until reinforcements come we are spread thin over a wide area.
