1. Establish defended strong point west of the River Ourthe - this is the area Head Quarters (adding to or improving defences will be useful should enemy break through forward defences)
2. Move fuel and ammunition supplies to designated dumps (already marked by surveying teams)
3. Defend fuel and ammunition dumps
4. Stop German advance to River Meuse
As the we have a trained mortar team (but no mortar as planned supplies have been delayed by two days) it would be more expedient to make use of German captured or abandoned equipment.
IMPERATIVE
At all times Field Marshall Montgomery and Major Badham must be kept fully informed at all times of friendly and enemy troop movements. Information must flow up and down the chain of command if we are to have any hope of making sure troops are in the right place to stop enemy aggression. Until reinforcements come we are spread thin over a wide area.
