Having grown out of it (sideways) and obtained a new set, my Dickie Knight (aka Khaki on Campaign) Battledress Serge set is now up for sale.

I bought this 4 years ago and it has been used extensively since then. I'll be sorry to see it go, but just don't fit it any more!

It's a reproduction of the very first version of BD produced and therefore is correct for throughout the war, including Dunkirk and before. It's a very nice brown colour, far closer to the early war colour than most repros manage these days. This is because the serge it's made from is no longer available.

It was made to measure and looking back in my email archive the measurements I gave at the time were:

Neck 17 1/2"
Chest 40"
Waist 36"
Inside Leg 30"
Waist to Ankle 40"
Length of Arm 25"
Back 20"
Length of Back 32"
Shoulders 24"
Height 5'11"

At the time I was happy wearing 34" waist and 42" chest modern clothes.

There is a small 4cm x 4cm L-shaped rip in the trousers at the side, which I have repaired by sticking some spare serge on the back with copydex. This damage was caused in 2008 (I think) when doing a photo-shoot for AI magazine. Since then the BD has been washed multiple times and the rip has never been noticed by anyone. As a result of the use of copydex, the BD must not be dry-cleaned, but since washing on a wool wash works fine then this shouldn't be a problem. I have worn this both in the field and for "smart".

There is no insignia included.

I'm looking for £140 including post/packing and paypal charges.-- attachment is not available --
