Gaiters / Anklets
I have three sets of gaiters / anklets, bought as part of a job lot but sadly all too small for me.
All appear to have been blanco'd blue/grey, a la RAF webbing - could be war-time or the later 'waxy' Pickerings (?) type, but I'm no expert on the subject.
The top set are stamped D^837, and have a 194? date stamp (looks like 1944), with web buckle straps
The middle and bottom sets have no discernable stamps, and have leather buckle straps.
Sets are slightly 'mismatched' (size & shape), as they would have been when issued.
Sizes (at widest part, approx.) :
Top - 13.5" / 345mm
Middle - 14.25" / 365mm
Bottom - 14.75 / 375mm
Blue blanco is a pain to get out, although I've managed to get a belt adaptor from the same level of blue to a blanco'able dirty khaki, with a combination of cream cleaner, white spirit, scrubing, swearing and sheer effort. However, this will be reflected in the price ..................
Could obviously be used 'as is' for a RAF impression, possibly as cheap look-a-like Lufty/FJ gaiters ?? or maybe gloss'd brown as look-a-like leather gaiters for a Home Guard impression ??
I'm only looking to cover costs on these so only £12.75 posted and paypal'd for the 3 sets

Ok, following the overwhelming surge in interest in these ................. 
............... I've coloured the one set up into what I think are very passable as leather HG gaiters >
I've used a combination of brown paint, to colour them, and beeswax to give a semi-sheen and depth to the finish; I'm pleased with the result.
Size-wise they equate to roughly 2, 3 & 3, so on the small side for those of us with manly calves 
but probably ok for the younger members, laydees and skinny g**s who need a good meal or 3 
Price-wise I'd like £8.00 per 'leather-looked' pair (£6.00 per set + £2.00 p&p)
