Hi all, would this uniform be of use in w2 re-enactments?

Depends what sort of No. 1s. Dark blue with big red stripes down the trousers, probably not!

For the Khaki ones, it depends on the event, you'd have to look at the uniform requirements. The jackets aren't cut anything like WW2 battledress.

For many events all you need is a khaki-ish pair of trousers, khaki shirt/jumper and some P37 webbing. A scrimmed up plastic tommy helmet looks pretty good to round it all off. If you are doing it properly you are better off buying a Battledress uniform, have a look at the kit guides for some guidance.

Cheers

A lot tends to be forgiven if you have the right headgear.

These ones are a cheap alternative to a steel helmet and look pretty good, especially if you add net and scrim.
Eventually you will want the full outfit. If you are on a budget, Denim battledress can be a bit cheaper:

Or for wool

I cannot comment on which is better. I have the WPG denim battledress as I am allergic to wool. It is well made and very comfortable and looks okay. I also have the Spearhead Australian Jacket and hat and they are pretty good.

When it comes to webbing, there are 2 routes worth trying. Lots of patience on ebay or Local sellers. Find your local re-enactment group, they will know where to get stuff locally and any shows they go to are likely to have people selling cheap webbing.

It's all khaki and has a shirt, trousers and jacket.
I can't wear it as it's too small for me now and the fabric makes me scratch myself till I'm raw.

Just wondered if anyone wanted to trade to u.s. Army kit for it?
