(also i'm pretty sure these ones aren't quite right, but is there a difference other than the shape of the studs?)

Cheers guys
Don't get modern 'parade' boots - the have triple soles which are completely inflexible. OK for stomping around Buck Palace or looking like Herman Munster but not for fighting in! While it is possible for a cobbler that knows what they are doing to take a layer off the sole and reduce the heel stack it just ain't worth it in the short or long run. Those boots aren't pebbled now (even though they may have started off that way) so look wrong. Removing lacquer isn't doing to be much fun and the leather may not be in great condition underneath either.
You are better off with either the DMS type more modern boot (looks OK and has an airsofter-friendly sole) or go for a pair of What Price Glory/Soldier of Fortune pair of ammo boots which are OK or a proper pair of Lenon boots which are perfect in construction and durability, as they should be as the company have been making ammo boots since WW1, and well worth the money when compared to well-made German boots! You can get Lenon boots from Khaki Devil - mine cost £100 at Stoneleigh last year.

Maybe even 'cadet' boots: http://www.cadetsuk.com/contents/en-us/d227_cadets_boots.html
Check and see if Warren has any DMS boots in stock...
Those cadet boots look okay actually. Nice price as well.
Has anyone here got a pair? What are they like quality/durability wise?
Cheers
Joe
