The above, are they acceptable to pass for Denisons (apart from the full zip thing)?

Opinions please Ladies & Gents :)

They are but usually cost about £40

For £50 you can have a replicators or rangercamp one that is much more accurate.

OK for our games but to be fair i'd spend the extra tenner or so on getting a repro unless you can get a belgian for under £30

The Belgian one if i remember is verry cheap and doesnt looke too far off its basically a M43 Jacket with a similar camo patern i bought one on the cheap i belive someone at the Arnhem game was wearing one, but yer i would get either the post war one or a repo, im also looking for denisons but the only ones i can find are on ebay and im not an ebay user so i think il have to go for the post war one.

You could always get someone to get one from ebay for you... ;)

BTW... I had a full zip "rangercamp" denison arrive yesterday.

Its pretty damn good! When the half zip ones come out I reckon they'll be perfect!

If you have any spare bits of DPM lying around then try pm'ing rangercamp about a swap. He's happy to do that but can't sell individual smocks as he's a wholesaler and doesn't want to do individual sales. They're done through ebay by other sellers...

I don't reckon there will be any real need to use the belgian ones once the rangercamp half-zip smocks start coming through!

If / when my new repro Denison arrives, my Belgian one will be surplus to requirements. I only paid £30 to Pete on here, so that is what I shall sell it for.

Ah..... I am awaiting my denison from rangercamp, but I was assuming it would be the half zip one. :(

Steiner... If you asked for half-zip I'm sure that's what you'll get! My full-zip one arrived pretty quickly! (and before I sent what I'm going to swap for it.)

CW... I have no news on the half-zip apart from to say that he has a prototype... Hopefully mine will be sent quickly once he has them.

Yup, I'm having one of each... not bad considering I'm swapping them for stuff I don't need anymore... (DPM bits)

Well, I was going to go for a Replicators half-zip and have it made to measure, but I might have a bit more of a sniff about

Unless you're in a real rush wait for the rangercamp half zips... they'll probably be the same price as replicaters but a lot better.

BTW, there will hopefully be a re-enactment group selling them in the UK... I'll keep you posted.

I have a stupidly expensive denny, the one SOF charge about £250 for ( i got mine new for £165 cos im not paying *that* much...)

When you put the make of mine next to rangercamps they are almost indentical.

There are pics on wwiireenacting

when mine arirves i'll take some spot the diference pics myself!

From what i've seen and heard wait a min and buy one of rangercamps

pm rangercamp... He's on this forum or try the wwii re-enacting forum...

They are on ebay. As far as I'm aware the half-zip ones are not yet available anyway.

Well, the deed is done, all my manly whinging and whining has paid off and the better half has succumbed!

She's took my (very) unsubtle hint and ordered me a Replicaters half-zip denison smock (2nd pattern)! Hopefully it'll arrive just before crimbo and I'll pop up a little review about it for those of you interested.

Cheers for all the input on this topic so far gents :)

Tyler dont want to be negative but from (mostly)horror stories ive heard about Sanjay you will be lucky if it arrives at all-if it does again from stories his stuff is very hit and (mostly)miss for fit and quality

I realy hope the smock arrives before Xmas and that it fits etc and again sorry for the downer :(

Well mine turned up in just 1 week... normally things can take up to a couple of months.

Just keep hassling him if it doesn't turn up in a month.

His smocks are generally pretty good, just beware the ever present problem on unfixed dye...

Nice one Yith glad to hear you got your smock and quickly as well.

Sanjay has some great bits advertised at good prices but i am realy scared of ordering from him after reading all the horror stories on other forums but might take the plunge in the New Year
