I'm hoping to blanco my webbing which is a mix of original and reproduction webbing from Soldier Of Fortune, my question is: Is machine washing it as suggested by this website

http://www.blancoandbull.com/how-to-remove-blanco-from-webbing/

a good idea?

I don't want anything to go wrong with my webbing although I'm probably just overreacting.

The author of that website is Chomley-Warner. Yes, it's fine to do - I have done it to a whole set, to produce a "scrubbed" set of webbing for Italian front.

If I'd known it was Chomley I wouldn't have bothered asking here, thanks Steiner.

If you want it to take blanco evenly I'd say that machine washing SOF stuff beforehand is essential. Just make sure you dry off the metal bits.

Right, Thanks BedsnHerts, I've right now thrown all of it except Large pack into the wash, there's a fuck tonne of suds (Pardon my french) and I'm just waiting for it to finish so I can blanco it.

I did mine the hard way with a bucket of hot water, soap flakes mixed in and a scrubbing brush. It was great fun but a washing machine is probably easier and a bit less messy....

Comrades,
It is not many Organ's of State Terror that permit their Garment washing Complexes to have an hour or so of the bang, bang, bang of a set of Personal Equipment in a spin. Run a warm bath and use the nail brush, it will save unpleasantness.

You're a bit late Special Department, I've already slung my webbing into the washing machine and I've finished blancoing it.

Partly why I didn't do mine in the washing machine was disapproval from my Organ of State Terror. She thought me crouched over a bucket with a scrubbing brush was hilarious though. Besides, it was fun.

Well, I might consider it again, just not every single week :)

Wondering whether to do my unblancoed set as 'scrubbed' or not, but I quite like the tone of the basic webbing on its own.

Cheers
