Hi guys, just thought I'd post a quick update on how my kit is coming along. Any comments or suggestions for future acquisitions would be gratefully received. So here goes...

Rope lanyard...tick
I'm looking to do ww2 airsoft primarily but I'd like to get into living history as well. A couple of quick questions... Are there any groups based around the northwest? Are there opportunities for my wife to get involved? Are there age limits? Im going to base my impression on the 13th Lancashire battalion, will this fit with what groups are doing?
I apologize if these questions have been asked previously.
Thanks
Steve
hello and welcome
looks like the kit is coming along nicely , boots next and a helmet .women are welcome even in combat roles , i can't think of any game where they were excluded on grounds of realism so the wife can join in in any role she want's and be as welcome as you , we have had nurses at events but that was a minority interest that allowed her to be photographer for the game , it's far more common for the gal's to grab a gun and get stuck in .

Hi,
I suppose it is stating the obvious, but uniform and helmet would be useful!
Northern WW2 Association might meet your re-enacting needs:

Thanks for the replies guys.Uniform is next on my list. I thought that from reading other peoples posts,a Denison smock would be the next buy. Is it better to buy a beret or helmet first. Are SOF still the place to go? I think that I am well on my way to becoming a bit of a geardo. As regards to groups, where are PBI based, as they seem the happy medium between airsofting and reenacting. Ps. Has anyone any info on the 13th Lancashire? I gather that they wore a black band on their epaulettes, was there a reason or significancertainly to that?
Thanks
Steve
helmets are the way to go , there's nothing that makes you look more of a cohesive unit than matching helmet's, they are so iconic in image and help identify friend from foe .
