How many inches down from the shoulder seam is the point of rank stripes meant to be? I'm going to re-sew my corporal patches as I did a terrible job of it last time and I can't remember how far down they go, and I can't just measure it as they are at different lengths! (I'm terrible at sewing)

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.
