My BD trousers are P37 with the strap and buttons at the bottom. The strap is on the inside of the leg and reaches round the front to button on the outside of the leg. It seems OK to me

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.

I chose this way as it stops there looking like the trouser legs are twisted from the front

That sounds like the way to go, I'm trying to make the front of the trousers look neat. I've got austerity BD trousers without the straps.

Holster stretching going well so far, I never realised I could do the same thing with webbing holsters as I've done with leather ones.

Cheers
Martin

I'm still waiting for my Panther Store BD to arrive... but when it does... do the trousers just require a crease down the front, or should they be ironed flat like a pair of suit trousers?

Yup, you need one. Light blue on khaki, worn on the right wrist (where a WOs rank normally goes).

Finally received my P37 BD from Panther Store. Took over 8 weeks, but I actually look smart in Brit kit! 8)

Nice one! I've heard nothing but good things about their BD, I'll have to get some myself at some point.

Cheers

I don't really know enough about Brit BD to offer an accurate assessment, but I like it. The fabric is not as thick as my old 49 patt trousers, but it is a nice brown colour and fits very nicely indeed.

Hi Liz, ok the way it seems to work is like this: you order online, then if David doesn't have it in stock in that size, he orders it from his source in the far east. Once it arrives in the Czech Republic, he will then ask for payment, and post it on - it was just over a week from actual payment to delivery.

As regards price (in case anybody's interested), it works out about £20 more expensive than SoF - but I believe it is better quality.

Panther Store seem to be another lot that don't do admin particularly well, so it's always worth dropping the occasional polite reminder if it's taking a long time

On my AGM mounting the sling through the heatshield like in the picture tends to make the heatshield wobble. As an alternative that looks like it from a distance and lasts longer I am attaching the front end of the sling to the metal spike keeping the magwell in its position.

That's a good point. DieselMonkey strengthened the front end of my VIVA. Previously it had a single fixing of a screw into a block of aluminium that was so soft that movement of the heat shield (esp under stress from the sling) ripped the threaded hole, not only giving horrible wobble but liable to the front end bits falling off if the screw fell out.

Whereas I've had my viva with sling attached as per the photo for years and had no problem at all...

Likewise with my AGM.
Longer screws would help, too.

I've just tried my TM Thompson mags in the bandolier and they actually fit better than the Sten mags!
