I have a sten at the mo so do you think it would be more appropriate to be a bombardier?

To be honest I don't think any RA would have an SMG...

Higher ranks would be more likely to have a revolver, perhaps?

Their main weapons are the big guns remember...

BTW, I'm only guessing really... You'd be best doing some research yourself if it really bothers you.

Having a 1940's themed 40th birthday party in March and thought I'd go as my grandfather who was in RA
Might take off the shoulder badges after or just leave them on as the loadout will be used for airsoft not reenactment

Ah, in which case go in walking out dress!

Don't take any weapons. Wear just BD, best belt, anklets, beret or cap, boots.

Remember to get a nice sharp crease down the front and back of your trousers, shine up the brasses on your belt and shine your boots.

If you don't have proper boots, get a nice pair of black or brown shoes instead and don't wear the anklets.

Just brought a pair of dms boots, have the anklets and FS cap with cap badge, getting a 37 pattern BD and belt when get Xmas bonus

My grandfather was wounded on gold beach, was with 74th regiment RA so a 50th div badge and RA arm of service badges
