Stupidly the cocking handle on my sten has fallen off somewhere. Can anyone suggest where to get a replacement or how to make one?

Blast from Past. I still haven't managed to find a replacement cocking handle. Does anyone have a spare, can make me one or has dimensions etc for me to get one made?

Would it not just be a case of finding a bolt that fits and then glueing a piece of tubing over the bolt head with araldite and painting it black?
it is a specific shape, mine is on my desk, I will measure it shortly.
This may be an ideal opportunity for you to get a cocking handle made in the correct shape for a MkII

I may be getting a 2nd sten to turn into an Owen gun soon. The cocking handle would then be spare.
