This game is the most open possible as regards uniforms. The only general uniform not acceptable for the game are allied airborne. All sides were worn ragged by this stage, in a hot August. Shirt Sleeves and Denim Uniforms were commonplace. So even if you do not have a full uniform there are still plenty of great options.
Units Present
German
By this stage 7th army is getting desperate. Whether you are part of the infantry division tasked with trying to maintain a corridor of retreat, an SS panzer division trying to re-enforce Model, or else a lone Fallschirmjager sent to what was once the rear with a dicky bladder, you will find yourself fighting for Chambois.
Any German Uniform appropriate to Europe 1944 is fine for this event. The Heer division that was most centred around Chambois was the 353rd, backed by the 116th Panzer, but any force from the Pocket is allowed.
Polish
The Polish unit that fought in Chambois was the 10th Dragoons. For those wanting to go for the full uniform the Battledress jacket had black felt sewn over the Left Epaulette. The soft hat is a black beret, and a mixture of MKII and Armoured helmets are worn.
Canadian
The Canadian unit from which elements reached Chambois was the 4th Armoured: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4th_Canadi ... 9_Division. Any unit form the 4th Armoured may be represented, and their uniform is entirely standard British Infantry - bar badges. A Highland regiment is a perfect opportunity for a Tam O'Shanter to be worn, if floppy hats are your bag.
United States
The 90th Inantry, Tough Ol' Ombres, are a Texas centred infantry division under General Patton. That is pretty much all you should need to know. Their Uniform is that of the standard US infantry, M41s and wool shirts.
French
The French Second Armoured (2em division blindée) swung south and east of Chambois before moving North, linking up with the Forces in Cambois. French forces are equipped with US uniforms, M43 and buckle-boots for preference as they were issued with them. They also linked up with French resistance along the way. so any Civilian resistance will fight alongside them. Any civilian clothes/old French Military clothing/some newer American clothing can be worn along with an FFI arm badge.
As is the case with all allied clothing at our games, being unbadged and 'generic' is perfectly acceptable. We just ask that you do not show up badged as a specific different unit to the ones listed, as it shows a disrespect for the scenario.
From what I see in the pics the Polish uniform may be very easy indeed. The denims were originally meant as dirty work clothes to be put over the wool BD. It seems the soldiers did not bother to sew any badges on them. When they switched to denims as more suitable for hot August the uniforms remained fairly bald. No black epaulette, no Lanark, no collar pennants, not even the Poland badge on the shoulder. Have a look at this NCO:

yup, if wearing denims then there is no insignia at all.
Has that Polish NCO got himself a luger there?
The Other famous "Pole&Yank" Pic form Chambois again shows Denims.

And German binocs, yes. I'm finding more and more of those in the pics. There's a nice pic in "Uniforms of the WW2 Tommy" showing a group of paras, one of them has a broom handle Mauser just stuck behind his belt.

Camo windproofs were fairly common in scout units so it's another uniform option.
