All my kills were achieved with aiming down the sights.

I'm wondering if 'using the sights' means different things to diferent people.
All I mean is I actually aim the rifle at what I'm try to shoot at, I can't recall carefully lining up the back & foresight, so perhaps I'm doing what Pete refers to as 'point shooting'. I can't really describe what I do, I just do it, but maybe it is just lining up the barrel like a shotgun and the ranges are short enough and the BBs go straight enough that they go roughly where the weapon is pointing.
Back when I had a go at being an open day elite snipa type I did use a scope and I actually had to aim at stuff using the cross hairs, which involved fair degree of zeroing the sights beforehand and memorising how much to aim off at different ranges etc.
With an AEG it is often/usually easier to look along the side of the barrel and just vaguely hosepipe BBs in the direction to target.
Cheers

Weirdly I found my 6 year old, never serviced Thompson to be more accurate than Pete's K98, but I think this was down to the fact that PEte's set it up to fire .3g bbs and I was firing .25s and my forgetting to re-gas the mags regularly enough.
The best and most accurate gun I've fired is Pete's Winchester springer, it's phenomenal.
I can't recall carefully lining up the back & foresight,
That's what I do, although after a day of shooting it does not require care anymore, it happens automatically. I will take more time lining up remote targets, I will just sight along the barrel at very close ones, but if I'm shooting at 10m or more I do use the sights instinctively.
