Just caught up with Major on MSN. Been at hospital today, and the consultant is talking about early-onset Alzheimers Disease
Needless to say, he's a: gutted b: seriously drunk at the mo.
I'd rather this info didnt go further than the 4 of us either.
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
How bizarre - why would a Doctor tell a depressive patient who has already tried to kill himself something like that?
Andy turned his back on F&O, turned his back on us, chucked in his job at TLSFX because of the travel, tells me he can never work again because he is completely disabled, still has a license and drives a car even after suffering blackouts and yet starts work with a new airsoft site at Swynnerton.
Something very not right here, it doesn't add up.
'tis all very very strange. Has he finally flipped? (well, flipped properly)

As I've said before it smacks of personality disorder to me.
I've had first hand experience of it and one of the main symptoms is constant severing and renewal of life patterns. Make friends, break friends, find new friends. Any sense of personal comfort or routine is bad in their head so they try to change it in anyway they can.
In my experience of Borderline Personality Disorder the renewal was related to being too close and wanting to reject any happiness for fear that they would be rejected. It's completely counter-intuitive but that's how it is. The rejection would usually take the form of intense and lasting rages at the other party.
Here's the rub though. Most GPs have little or no knowledge of PDs, and many don't believe they exist, insisting they are a symptom of depression, not vice versa.
Not sure what's going on with Major, but it does ring some very familiar bells with me.

Interesting and makes sense!
