Go on, how was it? And WTF is the story with the mess tent? They are such idiots.

Did Pete get the low-down on Wraith666? How long did Scaley, Gadge and Yith blabber for?

Well, the game itself was ok, I had a good laugh charging people down while they were applying bandages and a moment of heroism cutting "barbed wire" for an assault but, it was just that, a game. Much gayness from certain members of the German team, with standing in the open waving and some blatant non hit taking (Steve D & Bobby K). The majority of players were fine though.

Wraith666 proved to me that he is a total knob jockey and a bit of a walt, so my suspicions of him were right. The "mess" was quite funny, because gadge said to me that they'd done it because they'd been taking themselves too seriously of late! Yet, they had a chandalier, bottles of port, etc. I actually made a sign that said "Blue Oyster Gay Bar - All Welcome" to put over the door and take a covert photo but, I ripped the sign :slap:. Gadge and Nige were their usual selves at the social and Stu went to bed at 2200hrs because he said he would have punched Nige if he hadn't! Yith arrived on sunday and was actually not loud at all and played the game well.

I think Craig and Dean did a reasonable job for their first game and certainly didn't take themselves too seriously and it's always good to go to Taffy's site, where he looked after us very well. I managed to persuade a fair few that Jedburgh won't be as hard as they thought it would be as well.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Concur with the above. I'm afraid Nige's and Gadge's yarns just make my blood boil so I avoided them where I could. Gadge did start on the 'we really enjoyed the Gunman game' thing saying they were getting a bit stressed and just had fun having a blat - to which I replied "well you brought it on yourself taking things too seriously". As usual, I think he thinks its everyone else's fault and doesn't accept or recognise responsibility for his own actions. If there is is one attribute of the CiA team it is that they never have taken themselves too seriously, which probably goes a long way to explain our longevity, despite the odds.

I have to say the officer's mess thing made the three of them look like total twats. On the other hand £275 (from Anchor Supplies) for that 160lb tent and flysheet seems an absolute bargain - would be great for Germans at Jedburgh!

I did feel sorry for Yith chatting to him on Sunday about being pushed out of PBI. Still, he seems to have wrapped himself up in the Russian thing so he will still have plenty to do.

As a side note, that game will be my last. Being in so much pain during the day just wasn't in any sense fun so, other than CiA events I shan't be bothering any more and I'll be having a think about clearing the garage of clobber.

What's the problem with pain Dave? You back?

If you do have a clear-out, I'd like a Denison! ;)

Hmmm, sounds like the PBI lot are on a path to self-destruction.

On a different note. What's happened to the numbers for German players of late?! Christ, they used to be in the majority, now an event can muster more Poles!
