Yes! Cheltenham's a good accessible area too, although perhaps a bit too close GCHQ!! ;)

Could you make enquiries about the availability/cost of this site Stephen? It would be great as a follow on from Boryszyn - outskirts of Berlin or something.

"Bio" ammo only at this site don't forget.

I don't think we should do Berlin yet. It's an ideal chance to do a battle when the Germans were on the attack, such as Kiev, Kharkov, Stalingrad, etc.

I suppose price and availability would be a first step, everything else would follow...

Yes, but if I'm asking about availability then I need to know for when. Or do you mean availability at all!?

Also in their rules: "FPS Limit on this site is 360 MAX using 0.2g bb for all weapon types {AEG, GAS, SPRING}" :ghey:

I'll ask if 500fps is allowed for private hire.

S

Yeah, just explore possibilities. They seem to have had an site opening day and have a planned say in Jan - but I can see bugger all feedback anywhere so its not clear whether this is actually a 'live' site yet...

Any progress on this?
I had a PM from Webby last week and I told him we were already in discussion with the site about a CiA Russian-based game in Nov/Dec.

Heyup Chomley,
Lardy and I were talking about a late summer non-winter related Russian game for later on in the year, so that folk who'd bought the FoR kit might actually get chance to use it when it turns up! hehe
Came across this site yesterday http://www.soairsoft.co.uk/ ... have you heard of/seen it before?
I think some sort of Stallingrad/Berlin game could be done there for an early/late war contrast! :)
What do you think? I thought I'd ask first as I didn't want to stomp on any CiA toes! hehe

OK, Lee's finally got back to me. We're speaking in detail tonight.

Shall we think about a December or January game?

My preference is January. It's further from October's game and December is always a nightmare for availability. It worked well this year, and we can get all the organisation out of the way this side of Christmas.

If so, dates please gentlemen.

I'm good for all weekends:

8/9
15/16
22/23
29/30

I think we need to do a site recce first, date is academic really at this stage.

We did just fine for Bulge, Mist (& Hurtgen) in December so I can't see either Dec or Jan being a problem.

But if I have a preference it is for December.

January would be my choice, im afraid. Gives me something to look forward to after the arse/hassle that is Xmas.

That's fine Dave, but no point in doing a site recce if they're not available when we'd like to do it.

I hate doing games in December, my head is elsewhere with end-of-year stuff at work and Christmas to sort, plus we might be in Germany for Christmas this year.

I prefer January as well. It worked well with Boryszyn and the way we announced and booked it. Gives people something to look forward to after the horrors of christmas.

My free dates for January are 8th & 9th, 16th (due to convenient annual leave!), 22nd & 23rd.

But, definitely site recce first! The "bio ammo only" policy may put some off as well.

OK, January majority then.

Just a thought, if we charged a bit more for the game than is absolutely necessary, we could then supply bio bbs at a lower costs.

Essentially they'd pay the same but the perceived value for money would be better.

Also, limit it to 300 rounds per regen and fanny's your aunt.

I've got no problem with bio bb's. Where we may get a problem is if we are allowed to used higher fps for single shot rifles. As far as I know, you can't get bio ammo heavier than .3g, although I'm sure Jay can correct me on this if I'm wrong.

Bad idea. There are production problems with every sodding brand of Bio BB's on the market. If we supply them and they fuck someones gun up, its us who could be held liable.

Ah, ok. Didn't realise that.

I'll see how strict that policy is then.
