And Gadge completely ignores you by posting more stuff about PBI plans in the CiA specific section!

Well as announced we've a PBI micro level St Lo game just for US and SS types next year so you US airborne already have something on the card specifically for you.. so you're not that hard done by.

As well as the two planned I'm hoping to do 'Oosterbeek' if possible at the historical time next year (i.e. September) and focus on lonsdale force in the last days of the battle for Arnhem on the defensive rather than the obvious choice of the assault on the bridge.

Its also easier with a micro approach to have the Germans on the offensive. After D-day most 'campaigns' quite obviously have the axis on the retreat. When you start looking at a smaller more local area then a local counter attack means that you can write a scenario where the US are legging it being chased by a panzer division but in July rather than Decemeber!

He's taken the discussion public, so I've responded accordingly:

....Over to you then!

Sorry i thought this was for players to tlak to players.. not for players to talk to players *only* about CiA games :)

I was merely pointing out that there were games in the pipeline along the lines of which Spiers had requested.

------------

Like I said in the PM I sent you Gadge, the idea of individual forums for non-CiA games is for promotion and discussion of this. Nothing wrong with posting notices in relevant forums but spamming threads about your games means it opens the floodgates to all and sundry to post about games across the board.

We're trying to keep some semblance of order to this and, to be totally frank, we're a non-profit group, not a charity, so please keep posts in the right place.

And that goes for all of you, you naughty people!

And now this from Yith:

Yup... the problem is that not many of those thousands of battles involved the 101st/82nd airborne...

:ghey-fight:

(oo, I've just used the gayfight icon twice in one day...)

Erm, are PBI the ones that are organising an Airborne-specific game next year!?!

My god, they really are a couple of inbred fucktards aren't they? I do wonder what goes on inside that bell(end) tent of Yith's.

I despair - it should be blindingly obvious this the only place in the forum for CiA members to talk about CiA activities - everything else belongs outside that section!

FFS, Gadge's latest post just shows that he's too stubborn to understand.

I remember the old adage: "You can't teach an arse-faced twonk new tricks"

I'm just going to start editing them out now.

Yith's waded in with his historically-accurate boots on.

They're just making fools of themselves publicly.

I've said enough. They can carry on arguing amongst themselves.

I was half tempted to post in the private PBI section a big fat posting about five Allied places available for amazing game CiA are running in December and then float half a dozen half-baked ideas about games CiA are running in 2009, all of which require players to go out and buy new kit....

Exactly the point I made to Gadge about retailers posting all over.

What if Josh posts in their section......

With Yith and Gadge wanking on about accuracy and dissing films as an influence for putting kit together they aren't making any friends.

I've had BigUK PM me to say he thinks they're taking CiA in the wrong direction and I've PMd him back letting him know that they have no influence over the direction of CiA.

I find it utterly bewildering that, on the one hand, Yith is complaining that there are too many people who portray US airborne, and on the other, PBI are putting on the first ever US Airborne specific game!

Most of the US players have quite a low opinion of him and see him as the main cause of the "us and them" attitude amongst Brit and US players.

I think a few judicious posts just reiterating CiAs stance should do the trick!

Question is, how many other people think that Gadge and Yith are still involved in CiA. A fair few I expect.

A more obvious sticky needed at the top of some of the forums as to who is in CiA, and who isn't?

Funny thing is BigUK only started with us in 2008!

Might be worth making this thread a global announcement. (I don't have the permission to do it!)

I've adapted that post and put it as an 'announcement' in the CiA section - fell free to amend, add or adjust as you see fit.

Edited it very slightly to:

Yith and Gadge are PBI forum mods, with the ability to moderate certain other areas

You gents OK with that?

No worries.

I'm going to be moving things about on the forum. I've asked Yith to go through the public PBI section and move posts therein to either their private part or either of the public Brit sections. Since they went 'private' posts in the open Brit areas went down dramatically so it's looks like little is happening.

I will also be renaming the Heer and FJ groups as they aren't groups in any meaningful way - the same with the KGSS section. They will be specialist sub-sections of the main Axis section, so the level of detail won't change, just the notion of groups. This will boost the apparent traffic to the section.
