sheffielders eh, funny folk.

How much do I want to say, "Not really, I find them generally self-righteous knobbers with a bit of a chip on their shoulder".

I find them to be quite balanced.......

..........a chip on each shoulder.

I just had to reply to that. IJA on the western front? fuck right off!

Was chatting to John at EAG yesterday, he's planning a series of Pacific games later this year. Site will suit it well as some parts of it look like an absolute jungle :)

 Is this a day for confronting idiots? I've had to bite on Webbys' discussion about knives and bayonets on what was a thread started with a question about webbing!

Hehe, I wondered why you were looking at the profile!

His email address is @yahoo.co.uk">david_orr1@yahoo.co.uk and his registration answer was "I have been Air softing for years now, but am new to WW2 Airsofting. I have some original German gear & want to increase my collection."

So not Mr Manning!!

I've used a gel cooker quite a few times. With a change of label on the tin they are pretty much completely authentic right back to the Great War.

Me and Lardy used one to cook our goulash at Loop. :)

Yes, and had me incandescant with rage because they delayed the deployment of the patrols with their gay little picnic!

Lovin' it. People can't make WW2 airsoft events because of cash shortages and now they're after footlockers! :slap:

Guess who!!

I see Gadge, Nigel, Wladek, Ranj and....Yith were showing at Tutbury this weekend.

I wish I had the disposable income to do that.....

I thought Yith, Nige and Gadge had all had a falling out....

Heh, along with Gadge's lady - dunno how they justified her on the stand, no idea what she was supposed to be dressed as - and Nige's lad. Again, not very pukka and just smacks of a family day out. :ghey:

The falling out was with airsoft organising. Rich to his credit hasn't stomped off. Pretty academic now anyway since PBI don't organise airsoft events! (Unless Gadge can be arsed)

Incidentally, the attraction of reenactment is it doesn't cost anything!

Except for buying all the sundry shite you need to make it look correct.

i once worked at a site where a guy who claimed to be former "special forces" was happily going around brandishing his lovely tattoo of the winged dagger...

In my experience, anyone who brags about being ex regiment etc. is full of shite. The people that I know genuinely served with UKSF never talk about it, let alone brag about it - unless of course their name is Andy McNabb or Chris Ryan!

Or Scaleyback....oh no, hang on...

Oh sorry! I forgot accuracy isnt a factor for airsoft???
Yes it is, increasingly.
What you post can influence what people think and their understanding of history. There is enough revisionism without sloppy verbiage exasperating the problem. There should be some duty of care esp. from those organising games to be accurate in word.
SOE might be said to have 'played a vital role in organising and arming the French maquis and resistance throughout the war'. They were formed a month or so after the French surrender. Roughly 5 years. Organising might even be a bit strong for something as fractious and fractured as the resistance in France.
Jed' operations ran for 6 months.
Pedantic? Perhaps but only because I care.

Yep, and I think you're a dick who likes to prove his manliness by debating petty errors.

Nope, because you're a pedant and a dick who likes to prove his manliness by debating petty errors.
