Whilst I think it sounds good, I don't think he's really thought it through. 15 hours nights and no fires, sleeping bags or tents.......

I can't see him getting that many takers to be honest.

well, i'm game for it.

As long as I have my zelt tent, a load of straw, my kharkov parka and a thick blanket I'll survive it.

Whaaat? You weren't available for a December game Jay! :slap:

Anyhoo, with the backing of CiA it should have legs - even though Paul lept in with a public announcement before the T's were crossed (as per usual).

He was VERY frustrated that we couldn't do a joint venture for what turned out to be our August game. Still, December should be OK - weather gets really bad after Christmas normally, and BOTH sides will be camped.

There should be a lot of organising bods for this, so the task isn't that daunting. I'm in anyway...

Wicked.

Had a chat with quite a few guys at the weekend about our E&E and it's looking like lots of people can't make it. :?

Hopefully we can muster 30 Germans.

Paul's looking for 150 players (of all types) plus organisers/cooks etc. He WAS talking about the site off the A1 that Phoenix have now got as their new woodland but now seems to be off the M1 so I'm a bit baffled which site - got a feeling it will be Ashby De la Zouch (as site been used before for private battles).

I said i'm game for it, I didn't say that it was guaranteed that I could make it.

The problem is thus:

Do I enter into negotiations with my wanker of a boss regarding time off in December (NOT a good time to get annual leave at work) which means completely buggering around with the on-call rota - and hence, a good chance of pissing off my colleagues

or

Pull a fuckin' sickie.

Well, that's true - you don't have to make a commitment, so a distinct difference.

The proposed site is in the Barnsley area ATM, pending site review. Not for general release, hush hush!

Barnsley? That's, like, the North, isnt it?

Is it true that they've only just got electricity and piped gas up there?

Soooooooo. At the worst:

Aerial = 400 mile round trip
E&E = 330 mile round trip
Nov bash = 350 mile round trip
PD's game = 400 mile round trip

I make that around 170 quids worth of fuel in my motor. That. Sucks.

Just noticed Scott isn't on the list and you will be travelling on your own Jay - if you want to link up with Stephen, no probs. Puppy showing can wait, I'll eat the sweeties...

Scott's in Portugal when Op Aerial is on. Sharing the petrol cost in the future is appealing, however, I'll drive this one on my lonesome, as i'm going to pop in and see someone on the way back *ahem* (thank god we dont have an emoticon for this one!)

Jelly Tots...........now thats a bribe, but it cant compare to a fit lass (albeit, a total lunatic) offering to do stuff that would make the Marquis de Sade blush.
