I've goaded him a bit. I remember Ernie from the old Fireball WW2 days, along with yourself, Steve, Webby and a few others. Like you say, long before gadge became a self appointed WW2 oracle. He should show a bit more respect. His articles in AI are shit anyway. :ghey:

Just had this PM from Gadge.

Sorry pete the cock f**ked me off with an unnecessary reply like that

he can feck off me popping up there anytime soon if that the type of player they have.

I asked a simple question as to who played there and what it was like... did not need to be made out to look like someone who has no idea or that it was some amazingly well known site .

Theres a reason why im posting less and less on here...

And Gadge gave a very rude answer I thought Just as well cos i'm not planning on popping up any time soon.

The fact is Gadge SHOULD know what the site is like - the players have posted and contributed on here often enough and he SHOULD know what Ernie is doing. POW IS very well known in Scotland - and elsewhere in the UK too. hell, I bet there has been an article in AI about it - I'm sure Frenchie must have mentioned it?

Pete - you were at Fireball? I has no idea! What flavour?

I didn't go in WW2 kit. I was in US woodland with a "Fritz" helmet, so I was on the German side! I remember Yith in his gay shorts and kneecapping him from under some rhodedhendron bushes, very satisfying!

My PM in reply to Gadge

Hi Gadge,

It looked like a light hearted reply to me to be honest. As I said on the thread, you asked the questions, he gave the answers, as I'm sure many more POW regulars will in due course. Pity it's so bloody far away! Both for players to make the trek and for it to get the AI treatment. A site that's WW2 focussed is pretty unique and great for raising the WW2 airsoft scenes' profile.

Pete.

And his reply to me

He answered it in a cockish way and pissed me off.

I also wanted players opinons on the site and half the thread is mod comments...

Not helpful really.

Thinking about it - some of those 90 odd players who are getting into WW2 MIGHT have been interested in Gadge's WW2 AI articles. No more I fear!

My response:

Cheeky bastard wants it to disappear cos he's made himself look like a prat. Hence why I said I couldnt delete it.....

It's a bit underhand for him to go to one of his pbi mates to get him to do it for him after Jay said "no".

Ramseys post in the moderator section (edited for shite grammar and spelling).

Sorry, been putting the wife in hospital, so just catching up with this thread.
The poster feels that his purpose has been answered in the information he has got and has asked for the thread to be removed.

I have done this as I felt it did not show someone who writes about WWII airsoft to the wider community in the most professional way.

Sounds a bit fishy to me.

Hi Beth :happyclap:

* waves at Beth *

Glad to see you on here after all this time. Hope you are keeping Ernie busy!

cheers
David

Hey David

Glad to see your nice comments on that thread Gadge started.....however, I'm sad to see the way the thread has gone downhill quickly thanks to Gadge being his normal self.

To be honest, his attitude is part of the reason you don't see Ernie and I playing down south anymore and Ernie not using this forum much either. :(

On a positive note - our site now has 48 WWII kitted out players since we opened last year. We are determined to make it THE WWII airsoft site in Scotland and once we get enough built on site to satisfy our fussy standards, we will certainly be inviting you and some others up for a game with us.

Regards,

Beth

:happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

We did discuss coming up this year but nothing came of it. We will make the effort next year!

Sorry, Gadge was a complete knob - we have had a stream of POW guys registering here recently, one just a few minutes ago!
It would be GREAT if you or Ernie did some posting here and tell the world about what you are up to....

David

Not sure he's too happy about what i've said to him on MSN:

I aint gonna pull my punches here, we're both adults. Your posts did come over as being quite arrogant.

He really doesn't get it, does he?

From Beth to Gadge:

Gadge

I've just registered on this forum after the POW thread was pointed out to me and I wanted to post a comment. To see the way the thread went and your "touchy" comments is childish and certainly unwarranted. Now the thread has been deleted - is that because you have made a complete ass of yourself on it?

Scout's videos are professionally made and get more hits than CNN News on You Tube. To call them "home-made" is obviously ignorance on your part. Considering your link as correspondent to AI Magazine, this is a very poor attitude. Being a magazine correspondent requires an open mind and un-biased opinion, which you clearly do not possess.

Our site has registered over 380 players in just over a year WITHOUT advertising. Your presence certainly is not required or now wanted in terms of promoting us.

I am seriously disappointed in your obviously biased view of our site simply because its Scottish. Its very clear to all involved what your problem is. I'm Canadian and I don't come with the pre-determined view of things in this country, but I can very clearly see what your about.

Ernie has sent numerous players to this forum who have come back with the same complaint - once a Scottish player posts, the thread stops and they are ignored.

Perhaps a step back and a look at how you come across is in order here.

Beth

Might be an idea to run a CiA game north of the border sometime. Looks like we wouldn't struggle for numbers!

Seriously though, if Gadge is having yet another fit (doubtless with more to come), upsetting people AND getting PBI members who are mods on this forum to delete/move his more "knobby" posts, are we on a very real and slippery slope to a "proper" PBI/CiA rift? Personally, I couldn't care less if we lost Gadge and Yith but there are a lot of people involved in PBI (some of them good people) and doubtless G&Y would persuade some of them to become "splitters", like the dog company spat of recent times.

Excellent!!!! Nice one Beth! Not sure her 'racism' comments ring true, but Gadge's arrogance is eye-wateringly bad.

Perhaps it's time we started doing a little bit more positive marketing and distance ourselves a little further from the PBI element. If that's the opinion people have of Gadge et al, and they are staying away because of it, then we really should do more to encourage people in.
