Something else for Gadge to moan about

... found that me and Webby are in two magazines in WHSmiths this month (AI and WWII Re-Enactors magazine) and that Gadge wrote both articles.

What a concidence, eh?

Well, of of the two articles in WWII, Stuart's (about Gunman's Caen) was the more interesting and personal and Gadge's (about St Lo) was much dryer and just described battle actions rather than personal excitement or endeavour. One thing that annoys me about Gadge's writing on forums and in print it is littered with exaggeration, half-truths or plain fiction. He claims to have been reenacting for eight years, that PBI have eaten in the field in past games, had over 50 players (it was 39) and that the game was 8hrs.

BTW, if Gadge can't afford to come to our January game it will be because he has just bought a Sten!

Just noticed that, on the PBI "discussion board", a booking thread for Freshman has now appeared. I wonder how long before all of the threads on the group forum are cut and pasted over there as well? Gadge has been pretty quiet lately and my gut feeling is that he's up to something. Call me paranoid if you like but my guts are usually right!

That would be the kiss of death then. 30 forum members, most 'Brits' - I can't see how they expect to be bookings there!
Barrie was complaining about PBI stuff being on another forum. There is very little being posted now (apart form Nige who is desperately trying to 'chat' but no one is replying. Even Ramsay has had a pop at him. I bet it was Gadge & Nige bitching about me in their private bit (when you had access!).

I haven't registered there as I told Gadge and Nige I wouldn't - to give them a Chomley-free zone where they can do as they like - as Gadge thinks I shout him down and Nige thinks I don't like him (he'd be fine if he kept his mouth shut - if I hear another Sheffield anecdote... )

I've paid for their PBI website hosting for the last 18 months, printed them a load of business cards, attended all their events (both airsoft and reenactment) so you can't say I'm anti-PBI.

Believe it or not, most of the bitching was "in house"! I bet that's changed since I quit though.

My copy of the mag has finally arrived. It's well put together with some interesting articles (particularly the fit red head singing totty!)- until you get to the airsoft bits! Was Gadge at a different game to the rest of us? 50 players? It's written in the style of someone saying "Look how knowledgable I am, please like me and take me seriously".

Stu's article on Gunman was more personal and descriptive - how exciting and so on. Gadge's was just a run through of the games, so I think he missed a trick there, if the intention is to get others interested.

Have we invited Stu to Boryszyn at all? Might be an idea, if only to give some balance after covering a josh SISK and a Gadge ego trip.

We agreed to give him a free place but I haven't composed the invite to him yet...

He ain't very bright (that poetry and Buddhist crap he spouts is just a cover) and he is very reactionary. No balance, no weighing-up, no thought process. Bang, out it comes. Which makes him look even more stupid when he changes his mind - 'I'm just an airsofter' magically switches to organising reenactment events.

Despite Gadge saying he rarely posts on the forum (heh, he is ALWAYS looking) he feels fit to have a spat with 'Special Department'. Regardless of the rights and wrongs (Gadge is right this time!) he doesn't half get shirty with anyone who has a contrary opinion/argument.

He didn't finish his bloody training. He was a squaddie in training, got injured and never saw active service.

He was never an infantryman, he never went to Sandhurst, yet he bangs on about being a squaddie! The best he can muster up is an unspecified amount of time in the T.A and some time with the cadets! He knows f**k all about being an infantryman. The only time you'd go out with minimum kit is on a recce or fighting patrol of a very short duration, from a secure harbour area. Any soldier, past or present, will tell you that only a fool leaves his gear behind, as you never know when you'll see it again, if ever.

I find some of Gadges' posts particularly insulting, as he bangs on about how he was an officer in MY regiment! Lads I know who are still in have no recall of him. He's a lying bell end. Simples.
