Well if you absolutely must then at least get something the right colour. Maybe some for of desert boot that can be polished/dubbined brown?

Personally though I'm surprised that you have problems. What exactly is wrong with the Roughouts?

If you want to be more authentic. Get some proper Service Boots... they have much better ankle support than roughouts.

the problem with the boots is the soles are thin this dont cusion impact on the ankle
since my ankle is completed fused together i dont have that spring efect, hence the lmited running and jumping
i have tryed insoles but its not working so want to try different boots with thicker soles

I see... understood. I assume you've tried the sorborthane insoles? They're a lot better than the normal ones.

If that still doesn't work then yes I think you'll have problems with most wwii boots. The US roughouts are probably the softest there are!

Marsha, you could always go for buckle boots, although I'm not sure leggings will go over them, also not sure if they're any better. You mentioned that your Corcorans were pretty good so they might be the same.
