Just after thoughts/advice!

I've now completed my basic US Inf loadout - I'll be wearing my jump boots under my leggings so I don't have to splash out on any more boots, and I won't be wearing (for now) a EM shirt under my M41.

I have 2 thoughts - go Rangers (would fit with the boots) or go generic Inf (no unit badges etc) that would allow me greater flexibility without lots of sewing etc.

What do you guys think - I've put this loadout together (with a wip Brit Airborne) to give me a better chance of making more games?

Best way is to be flexible and do both! ;)

i.e. leave the M41 clear for now and only put insignia on when it's actually needed for an event, and then just sew it on so it can be easily removed. To be honest insignia isn't always needed anyway!

The other differences between the uniforms aren't really that important. I reckon with the kit I've got all I'd need to do add of a basic Ranger impression instead of 1st div is the ranger insignia.

BTW, I'd have thought the M41 would look pretty odd without a collared shirt under it? Almost any collared shirt will do if you don't want to splash out on an EM one just yet. I used an 80s British Army green woollen one first time I was out in my US kit.

Yeah do both Jon. A cheaper alternative to a US enlisted shirt is a modern british no.4 shirt, you'll find that the M41 doesnt button all the way up to the top, so will show the collar area of where your shirt would be :)

I would agree with all learned comments.

Jump boots under leggings look... well just like service shoes, so with an M41 un-badged you would look pretty much spot on as GI infantry. :good:
