I'm struggling to find any decent online sources for Jedburgh kit, weapons, tactics and structure. Anyone got any pointers? I'd like to put a Jedburgh loadout together for the proposed e&e game this year. I didn't really fancy shelling out loads of money on books on the subject!
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
There's a re-enactment group that does these. Probably a good place to ask for info.
Thanks mate. I never found them with google!

I lent Paul Monaf (AIM) my book on these, you could PM him and see if he can send it on to you if he's finished with it?
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
theres a very good book about them too-far more detailed than anything on tinternet too. A museum dahn sarf has got a Jeds display running. Set up by some US Airborne reenactors featuring original bits and pieces. You can assume British airborne uniform with certain US bits and pieces including boots, M1 carbine etc. US Jeds would often wear their American uniforms and a denison smock. The SF wings are a bit of a bone of contention some think that it was a postwar affectation to wear on a blazer, others think it was a semi offical item-best thing to do would be to decide your nationality and former unit and then dress accordingly. Many Brits would be dressed as General Service Corps.
The Platoon shop owner has a really decent book which has the Jedburg teams in it (I used it as ref. for my Die Glocke loadout)
From what I can tell though, a lot of the Uniforms look like British Para outfits (even for the US teams) as the US had a lack of decent camoflague gear. Theres a really famous pic of a guy in what looks like a denny, with a US folding stock carbine shuvved inside his belt.

In this book I saw, the SF wings only appeared on the US M43 uniform, when they wore the denison, only the British Para wings were seen.
And to continue from Op Aeriel discussion at least 1 officer parachuted in wearing a kilt.

An early example of 'Shock and Awe', I do believe.

Upon closer inspection (and a bigger pic) the guy in the picture looks like a US Officer, brand of serice insignia and the side of what looks like a lieutenant pip on the other collar.
