Allegedly Sabre sales in portsmouth have Mkv royal armoured corp steel helemts in at the moment.
These are *exactly* the same shell shape as wwii airbonre helmets although the chin strap is very different... they willhowever do wonderfully for our events.
At about
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
SOF are asking
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
Well heres what the helemts looklike from Sabre with a bit of torn up sandbag as scrim.
Not bad for
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
SOF have some chin straps available so maybe you could enhance it even more?
I have a re-enactor friend who has the templates for the leather chinstrpas so im going to try and get some made up to pass on at cost.

Dude why have you got a picture of hand-cuffs on your wall?!
Might get myself 1 of these ... Para helmet that is
standard issue now to all secondary teachers! Certainly needed some today for a Yr9 class.....ks3 ICT testing.....urk
I spent today doing GCSE folder moderation . . . joy...
Handcuffs.. long story.
A few years back after a particulary nasty break up i decided i wasnt going to have a girlfirend for some time, my mate adam said 'dont have *a* girlfriend, have several... So i did and they all knew about each other and they all got on very well if you get what i mean...
Hence my house had a reputation for being somewhere where particualy bonkers stuff happened regulary witha rule that whatever happend in the house didnt matter as we all deciede it 'didnt reall exist'
Hence the made by one of the girls says 'warning - this place does not really exist, normal rules no longer apply'
And that about as much as im saying on the subject, other than that was a particuallry brilliant summer/autumn....
The other pics on the wall are prints by an aritst called Rachel Huntingdon (shes also my tattoist these days), the middle one i had commisioned for my club!
