Well imo it looks a bit too bright and new, but acceptable for airsoft, of course its no way near as good as the Rangercamp one wich I have to say is absolutely beutifull and well worth the money as it realy is first class but even they dont look the same as some of the ones I have seen in museeums so realy im not sure there is a "right" colour as even the old ones came in alot of different colours (one of which I have seen does look like the SH one)
For the price difference, i'd say pay the little extra and go for the Rangercamp/SoF one, it really is worth it.
Like the man says above.
I personally while a great fan of barrys spearhead stuff dont rate the smock.
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
ranger camp, very good smock, plus nearly everone on here has one so you get the uniform effect.
If you are airsofting Brit airborne then you will nearly never use the BD blouse.#
Its too hot under a denison on all but the coldest days.
You;re much better buying a pair of spearhead trousers and an SOF denison.
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
But having the blouse allows you do almost everything else we do as brit...
Note though that Spearhead trousers are para ones and hence don't allow this! Only parachute and airlanding troops were issued those trousers.
Historically...
the most you would wear is
String vest or singlet
Collarless shirt
v neck jumper
BD blouse
Or any combination of the above...
However for airsoft where you are running around 90 per cent of the time and not living in a ditch you dont need that extra wool layer...
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
untill you get a collarless shirt, a tee shirt is fine.
