I've been considering it as well after talking to Yith about it at DH. I think I'll definitely have to look into joining them for an event at some point.
We have enough people for our own group but I still think its better to work with an existing group rather than forming something new. Better to unite under one banner; especially as the 2nd Guards seem very open to airsoft whilst we lack much of the heavier field kit so it could be mutually benefitial.
Comrades,
The Glorious 2nd Guards are a Fraternal Group to my own Glorious 13th Guards, if you wish to throw back the Gitlerite you can do good work with them.
Urrah!.
Soviet Group, I'm in. I hope to tag along with Yith to a reenacting event next year at some point if I can get a gun. may-haps.
Though a Soviet Group that runs a game will pretty much find me wading through swamps filled with fascist alligators to get to it
Because my usual re-enacting group (2nd batt essex reg) are cutting back on shows a little next year, I thought that it would be a great idea for me to join the 2nd guards as well, as they look to be a great bunch of lads (and lasses!), plus most of the shows are pretty local to me which is a bonus. I have got most of the m43 uniform bits and bobs to start with, just need to get a m35 uniform + early war eqipment, then I will be all set.
