Africa korp

Brandenburgers and DAK (Deutsches Afrika Korp) are two very different units.

Brandenburgers fought in Africa but did so either in arab dress, regular army uniforms, British uniform or German uniform with no insignia whatsoever.

'Brandenburg Insignia' inst worn until early 44, until then the only way you would notice they were not regular heer grenadiers is the jager patch with white rather than green piping and airborne qualifications. By 1944 the desert war was a painful memory to the OKW.

The DAK on the other hand was initially two regualr infantry divisions.
5th light division and 15 Panzer

Seriously and im not trying to sound funny here, if i want to research something in google and im not sure i quite often type in a question like

'what helmets did russian infantry wear?'

and odds are you'll get directed to that question and its answer somewhere on the internet.

I always try wiki first as well

Yo see i *could* have typed out that whole article on uniform and cut and paste it for you and pretended it was my knowledge but i think you benefit more wiht developing independant learning skills.
Seriosuly just try the obvious searhces first like 'afrika korp tobruk'

see what comes up

Good luck with it, i woudlnt recommend a DAK loadout though, surprising lack of deseert games in the UK or 8th army to play against.

Ok i will take all on board,I thoght a DAK loadout in a urban game would be good.

Its a pretty limited theatre and look really.

North Africa 41 - 42

You wont get as much milage out of it as you would doing tropical FJ.

Add in the following factors

it wil look daft and stick out like a sore thumb camo wise at 99 per cent of uk sites as they strangley look nothing like libya

nobody have an opposing force loadout

You'll freze in it for nine months of the year

However it would be interesting to see.

I think you'd be far better of devleoping your NWE loadout first and getting along to some games.

Ok still waiting on the Panzer wrap to be deliverd been over 2 weeks,i have found some unter officer shoulder boards on sof and other bits that would be good for my Sven Loadout.
