The trousers seem to a tan and water style. As regards a better idea have a look at real photos of WW2 soldiers or the loadout guides on the forum. Its highly unlikley that that kit ever saw the light of day.
Hmm that is an odd collection of kit he appears to be wearing.
Look like an Mg and G43 pouches? An odd choice with an FG42 but as Pimms said LW ground troops with an FG42 is unlikely, only slighly more likely than you having one for airsoft.
He is obviously meant to be luftwaffe but he appears to have Heer insignia on his cap and a Heer belt buckle too. Not inconceivable given equipment shortages but luftwaffe would be more appropriate.
I'm not sure what the cap is meant to be exactly, looks like it could be a tropical one but it has the double buttoned front of an M43. . As Imp says the trousers could be tan and water (or may just be mucky tropical trousers ) and the smock is meant to be splinter- although it kind of looks like it has some yellow Fallschy shoulderboards attached.
If you follow the list Pimms gave you but use green field division collar tabs instead of red and swap the M43 cap and T&W trousers for tropical ones I think this could be a good base to build an Italian theatre luftwaffe ground troops kit.
This would include:
LW tropical cap + insigina
Fligerblouse + LW field division insignia (you could use a tropical tunic but I think a mix of wool & tropical looks good)
Splinter pattern smock
LW tropical trousers
Gaiters
LW belt buckle
Black leather belt & Y straps (brown leather like the chap is wearing would be ok but I believe black would be more common)
Bread bag (green army issue would be more appropriate)
Mag pouches- to suit whatever weapon you plan to use.
Ankle Boots- not essential, any look alike black boots will be fine with gaiters.
Water bottle, e-tool, correct Ankle boots etc- can be added later
I hope that helps. It sounds like quite nice loadout to me.
Remember you don't need everything right away, its better you get the basics and get stuck in than wait to get your kit perfect.
Company of Heroes is so full of mistakes in the Brit stuff it would surprise me if they'd got anything right elsewhere at all!
The other thing to bear in mind Marco is that the advice above counts for being "historically accurate", which is not a requirement for CiA games. If accuracy 's what your after then take the advice, but if you don't care too much about that side of things and just want a loadout you think looks good or is made up of stuff that you already own then go with what you like the look of.
some stuff on the LFD in Italy: http://www.custermen.com/ItalyWW2/Luftwaffe.htm
Choosing certain axis units - Hohenstaufen Waffen SS, Fallschirmjaeger Regt.2, Generic Heer infantry, will instantly make you part of a group at CiA games as so many of us have those loadouts. Some players like that feeling of uniformity, others couldn't give two hoots and like to have eclectic or one-off uniforms. Everyone still plays together very nicely. Luftwaffe ground troop with Italian camo will make you an "army of one"

Not strictly true, there are a number of other LW ground troop players. I was also suggesting tropical gear not Italian camo- tropical gear being used from the south of France through the whole of the Mediterranean to the Caucasus is more versatile than people imagine. Plus the changing of one or two items and its an easy switch between the Med theatre and else where or indeed between field division and later war Fallschirmjager.
Anyway its Marko's choice and I'm sure what every he decides will look great.

Absolutely.
And I didn't realise others did that impression so fell free to ignore me (most people do )
YAY, another one for the LFD - so far that makes you, me and Steiner! (I haven't been in a while, there may be more...)
No problem, I look forward to seeing it. Feel free to ask if you get stuck sourcing kit as well.
you could also do LFD eastern front which i may do next.
I always think it looks like he's wearing jeans...
