Black background with grey or silver detail is correct for Waffen-SS. The one piece trapezoids are generally seen on the single button caps, the 2 button ones have death's head on the front and SS eagle over the left ear.

Nick Morigi is the bestest when it comes to insignia. http://www.nicholasmorigi.com/

I'd go for BeVo rather than embroidered for any E.M. impression, even if they are more of a pain to sew on.

BeVo (which is the woven type of insignia) would be correct for an M43 . As Martin says, Nic Morigi for insignia - he's about the only supplier I use these days!

Now we're a country we're run by a..........

If you order BeVo insignia you'll find that you will have to cut it out the Main patch..before you sow it on.. just take a cigarette lighter and run it round the edge..this will stop the cotton pulling through.

Scheisse! I've been cutting carefully and glueing the edges back with fabric glue before sewing. I never even thought of running a feking lighter around the edge :slap:
