Stupid question I know. This there a proper way to tie the bottom leg of german trousers? I'll always just wrapped the woolen strap and cotton ties round above the ankle and split the cotton ties round each side and tied them. It occured to me today when I dug them out for the game at Worthing next weekend that maybe the woolen strap goes under your foot, up the other side and the cotten straps then go through the holes at the bottom of the trousers. Tieing them like that would then stop the trousers riding up your leg.
Does anyone Know?
Yep, that's correct. And I remember asking exactly the same question when I first got mine.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Cheers Steiner for solving that one. The only worrying thing is I've had them for over a year!
Yup, spot on. There is quite a good pic in one of the "Soldat" books that shows this,
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
(makes mental note to do this in future... )

Thread moved, as its applicable to more than just Waffen SS.
